I am a Consultant Laparoscopic General and Colorectal Surgeon, holding FRCSEd, FRCS (Exit), a Master of Surgery (MS) degree (equivalent to an MD) from UCL London, and a Master’s in Medical Education from the University of Dundee. I am currently working as a substantive NHS Consultant at Barnsley NHS Hospital Trust and as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Sheffield with over 20 years of open and laparoscopic surgical experience, I specialize in general and colorectal surgery, including all types of hernias, gallbladder surgery (cholecystectomies), and benign anorectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, and Limberg flap repair for pilonidal sinuses. I also manage colorectal cancer cases at the NHS and have performed over 300 inguinal and umbilical hernia repairs under local anaesthetic with excellent audited outcomes.
